Automatic builds are now placed on the Midnight Central server that I administer (the server is hosted by TDeath). Currently Windows 32-bit and Windows 64-bit builds are up and they both compile fine. The builds are on my new old computer, a ... [More] Pentium 3 700MHz 512MB that I got off eBay which now runs both Windows 98 SE and Debian "lenny". Builds are compiled daily at 12:00 AM ReMooD Local Time, 6:00 AM ReMooD Local Time, 12:00 PM ReMooD Local Time, and 6:00 PM ReMooD Local Time. ReMooD Local Time indicates the current time in New Jersey whether it is currently using EST or EDT. If no new commits have been made between build times, they will not be build unless they never were built or failed to build. When submitting bugs please go to The Mantis Bug Tracker. On another note, the new logo is used in the standard C version of ReMooD. Despite any work done on the C++ version of ReMooD, concentration has been placed on the C version of ReMooD. The ReMooD Team will port the C code to C++ when the time comes. [Less]

A new logo has been created, it follows the same concept, however it is high-resolution and enhanced. The major change is that the new logo is actually a sphere with the texture laid onto it instead of a circle cut from the texture. The new logo ... [More] is originally 1600x1600 (Seen here links offsite and is a bit over 1MiB). The bottom of the sphere has a slight light to it which would be the light's source while the rest of the logo is dimly lit by itself. The scaled down versions now have a matching R with the high resolution image. The new logo followed by the old logo: And the scaled down logos 16x16 24x24 32x32 48x48 64x64 16x16 24x24 32x32 48x48 64x64 The new logo will be used on the experimental version of ReMooD (C++), the standard version will still use the old logo. The ReMooD Project is looking for source code and binaries for old versions of Legacy. The source code and binaries will be used for archiving Doom Legacy history and to work on compatibility with ancient demos. If you have access to such ... [More] source code and binaries please e-mail them as an attachment to [email protected]. Please be sure to clearly state in the subject and body what versions you are uploading. In addition, any source code obtained will be placed in the subversion repository for archiving, that way the binaries will be available and backed up. Anybody who checks out the root of the SVN directory will have a copy. Thank you. Source Code in possesion Doom Legacy 1.29 Beta 16 Doom Legacy 1.29 Pre-Release 7 Doom Legacy 1.30 Doom Legacy 1.32 Beta 1 Doom Legacy 1.32 Beta 3 Doom Legacy 1.32 Beta 4 Doom Legacy 1.40 Release Candidate 1 Doom Legacy 1.40 Doom Legacy 1.41 Doom Legacy 1.42 Doom Legacy 1.43 Beta Source Code requesting Versions before 1.28 Doom Legacy 1.28 Doom Legacy 1.29 Doom Legacy 1.31 Doom Legacy 1.32 Binaries in possesion without source code Doom Legacy 1.28 (MS-DOS) Doom Legacy 1.29 Pre-Release 5 (MS-DOS and Linux) Doom Legacy 1.41 Release Candidate 1 (Linux, Solaris, and Windows) Binaries requesting Versions before 1.28 In other news, ReMooD 0.8b "French Onion Soup" has been tagged but is not for release. The next release of ReMooD will be 0.8c "Steak and Eggs", there is also an experimental fork of the code called ReMooD 0.9q "Chicken Pot Pie". This fork is entirely in C++ (except for some C Library calls) and when finished should be stable and expandable. Since 0.8b is having Unicode support placed in, 0.9q will have it built in from the start. There are also plans on providing compatibility for old Doom Legacy demos, levels, and save games but source code and binaries of these old versions are required. There will also be compatibility options to match older versions of ReMooD also. Despite this, more work is being concentrated on the experimental fork and hopes to create a working and playable binary in two months time. For network play, ReMooD is being split into two parts, client and server. Some projects are now out of date and no longer build ReMooD (one reason this release is being skipped), however ReMooD 0.9q will be split from the start. Although ReMooD 0.8b is being skipped you will see it's changes in ReMooD 0.8c. When ReMooD 0.9q is near completion it will take the place of the C Code and will become ReMooD 1.0a "To Be Determined". [Less]

Although this site is supposed to be for the ReMooD Project as itself only and nothing personal or community related, an exception can be made to the rule. A respected member and a great friend, Stealth, has left the Doom Community due to ... [More] the destruction of servers he maintains and the data contained within. He generously hosted the file server that hosted the Automatic Builds at no charge at all. We wish you the best of luck on the outside world and hope you return with good news. Thank you for your donation to the ReMooD Project, you will be missed. Due to the destruction of the servers, Automatic builds will no longer be available for an indefinite amount of time. [Less]

Internationalization is currently being programmed into ReMooD. ReMooD plans to support Unicode (UTF-16) to it's fullest extent. We also plan to support more than just English, so if you would like to contribute you may translate ReMooD to ... [More] another language. If you feel you want to contribute please e-mail me at [email protected] or contact me (GhostlyDeath and/or KaptinKurk) on IRC (OFTC or Freenode). [Less]
