Development has been suspended on this project for a while now. This is just an official announcement so people who land on this page are aware they're looking at a deprecated project. I couldn't find the time to make enough progress, and I know ... [More] feel this has been made obsolete by other projects such as mysql-mmm.org and provenscaling.com. It was fun while it lasted, though :) [Less]

A Release Candidate is coming, all I need is some spare time, and if you care, some external testing. I work really hard for this release. I'm actually quite proud of it, but I'm also sad, since it's the first time in many years that I haven't been ... [More] able to update the documentation. Still, I'm confident that a Release Candidate is on it's way, and that this will be the last beta of the current tree. If you've been following this, my dear anonymous reader/downloader (why is it that programmers are kind to contribute patches, but users never say a word?), please test this and send your complaints, or even your insults, this way. Regards, GNU/Nandix. Oh, yeah, and Happy Clustering. [Less]

Rewriting Highbase in Erlang, resume of the regular release cycle. I'm way overdue with new releases, due to a heavy work load and some personal time shortage too (If you have an hyperactive toddler you'll know what I mean!). However, I'll be ... [More] resuming a regular release schedule during the next couple of weeks (for release tuesdays, that means 2/17), and in the meantime, just because I had too much free time in my hands, I'm restarting the Erlang tree, though this time with a new design (consequence of my better experience with the language). You can read more about it here.Stay tuned. [Less]

Stay tuned to RC-1 on 9/9 I've had to alter the release schedule due to working constraints, but I've been doing some heave testing during these past weeks and I'm confident I'll have RC-1 ready by 9/9, so please check back to get it.

Release Tuesdays will be back next month, as part of the effort to get a release candidate out as soon as possible. Have you been following this project since 2002? Throughout the site design changes, architectural reworks, and long periods of ... [More] inactivity? If so, you probably remember release Tuesdays. Back in the early days of highbase, when it still had that copyright infringing name, Tuesday was the day for new releases, and releases where early and often, as it's supposed to be with open source software. Well, as of the next 1st of July, I'm going to make a new release the first and third Tuesday of every month, until there's a 1.0 version available for download. That, or I give up for good. You make your guess. Wish me luck! See you next Tuesday [Less]

A new release is finally available! After a long hiatus, beta-0.9 is out. I don't have an rc yet, but thanks to contributions by users, the code base has improved and is supported on more platforms, while also being more efficient (MySQL's monitoring ... [More] routine is now written in C). Besides this contributions, I made some minor bugfixes and continued improving the documentation since as is now usual, I'm installing the cluster following the Installation Guide. Go get this here and get back with your problems. This should work in: RHEL > 4.x and compatible builds, Fedora > 5.x, and Ubuntu > 6.xMy current testing platforms are Ubuntu Feisty Fawn and Hardy Heron. Have fun, Fernando. [Less]
