Well, the tools, tools, tools thing was pure theory. I now tried, but I have not been able to manually create multiple identical tags. Sorry for that.

Thanks for your reply. I wonder whether those arguing about improving the search really tried searching something. Having more results displayed on the page doesn't mean that the search got any better
... [More]
than before.
If search results shall be improved, one could think about how to include useful parts of the projects code (which is already scanned by Ohloh) in the search index. E.g. if the Ohloh scanner can differentiate all those file types it might also be possible to extract useful keywords, tags or meta data automatically.
Another thing one might think about is to grab the (top level only) homepage of the project and to use that content for keywords. Because the project description on Ohloh is typically very short compared to the description on the project homepage. The same content grabbing idea might work for the links provided on the project pages.

One of the three repos fails since several weeks at least. Deleting the currently stuck job would be fine for me, I don't need it to be rescheduled with high priority. :)
Hi,
currently embedding your widgets in other pages is not that easy, because the different widgets use different font sizing strategies. E.g. the project cost widget sets an absolute font size of 12
... [More]
pixels, while the commit statistics widget uses a 75 percent relative size.
When I embed them into my netvibes page, both don't look perfect. One has fonts to large, one has fonts to small.
I don't have a good idea how to solve that issue but it would be nice to have at least a common strategy how to define the font sizes.
Thanks and Ciao, Michael

Hi,
Currently if I visit the profile of a person the associated Google map may not show his (red) pin because another person (with yellow pin) is positioned at the exact same place.
Not sure whether

the Google maps API allows this, but it would be nice if you could put the red pin of the currently selected profile on top of all other yellow pins.

Hi,
I was just wondering how much code was added and changed between the last 2 major releases of a project of mine. This is an information that ohloh could provide easily. If I could select 2
... [More]
different dates (or commits) then ohloh should be able to tell me
lines of codes, comments, blanks
number of files
for both dates and
number of lines/files added, deleted, modified for each language used by the project
for the time span between the dates.
Currently each commit shows the number of lines added, deleted, modified. If you would accumulate these numbers (and store the cumulated numbers with each commit), you should be able to calculate all those numbers when you parse the new commits for each project. Therefore this feature would not even require complex calculations but a very limited number of database lookups for each such request.

Yes, I'd prefer removing it completely, if that's an option.
To my mind this focusing only really makes sense on pages where input is mandatory (e.g. on the create new project page, the login page or
... [More]
similar ones). But even then I might already have entered some text when the onload event is finally fired, so also then it should be checked that the currently focused control isn't one of the other form input elements.
BTW: In general ohloh makes clever use of Javascript (nicely formatted input help and other things), so don't let this issue stop you adding more little scripts.

Just take your time, no need to hurry. Thanks for investigating the issue. It's a pleasure to see how quick and detailed your responses are.
