Fellow geeks near me / near a new city
...moving to a new city, one that is apparently dead in F/OSS activity (Miami, FL).
Ohloh has a lot of people with geolocations, including me, as is evident from the Google Maps integration. I want to be able to run a search on geeks near me
or geeks near point X
, and see a result listing with name, project, kudos, etc.
Otherwise I risk drowning in the silicone seas of South Beach... ;-)

Hey Martin,
I'm just an Ohloh user (and API user), not an Ohloh dev.
I do run a different Free Software community website called OpenHatch and our people map lets you browse people by location. You can easily zoom in on a spot on the world and look for fellow geeks.
We're a bit different in that we're interested in helping you find new people to collaborate with.
Just something to think about in case Ohloh doesn't build this soon. I hope this isn't too off-topic for the Ohloh forum.
