UI inconsistency
Hi jackr,
Your points are well taken, and your feedback has been influential in some upcoming changes. I admit that the process is pretty complicated, and poorly explained.
We're completely revamping the process for claiming contributions. It should reduce the challenginging 9-step process to something much easier. I think it will be very slick, and it should be ready within a week.
Until then, I'll make an attempt to improve the current instructions -- at least making them match the actual text used on the site.
Thanks for being patient enough to send along this constructive post after what must have been a frustrating experience. Ohloh is a pretty complicated, nerdy application, and we're finding that clean, understandable presentation is just as tough as the engine behind it all.
