How can I see how much of a devs free time is used for a project?

I want to find out how many average days/week and hours/day that a dev usually spends on a project during their free time?

I was told to go look for myself on a Dev page like this and calculate it myself:
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/reactos/contributors/13853417028936

But I've never been any good at interpreting diagrams. Where and how should I look for this information?

I don't think Ohloh can answer the hours/day question short of just some educated guessing. If a user makes a single commit in a day, that doesn't tell us anything about how many hours it took to create that commit.

It's possible (however it's somewhat expensive) for us to calculate how many days over the last month contained at least one commit -- but this would not include the days in which the person worked, but did not actually make a commit.

Down at the very end of the languages table on the page you linked, there is a row for All Languages which includes a value called Median Commits. This is the typical number of commits that this developer makes during a month. This is over the entire life of the project.

You say you were told to go look -- I'd be curious what the person who told you to look has to say about this :-)

BTW I do think this is an interesting sort of statistic to investigate, and I'd be curious exactly what sort of numbers folks are interested in here.
