Valentina lets a patternmaker use their patternmaking techniques to make a digital pattern. Many patternmaking tools are just drawings to scale, which are then enlarged in areas according to grading rules. Valentina patterns are generated with established patternmaking formulas, so they can be generated according to size charts or for an individual customer. There is no restriction on sharing or selling the patterns made with Valentina, and there are no software or pattern library subscriptions required. The software is open source freeware released GPL 3+,and any modules available in the future will also be open source freeware.
