Project Summary
The Rhombus Tech project's goals are to provide a link between mass-volume factories in china and Software (Libre) Developers, to the benefit of both and to the end-users. Retails stores can therefore purchase products, confident that a GPL lawsuit will not be brought against their company, because products will always be fully compliant in advance with Software (Libre) Licenses. Developers can purchase products even off-the-shelf from retail outlets or online and get to grips with them immediately, knowing that no time-wasting reverse-engineering will need to be carried out, and that there is a well-established free software community who were actively and directly involved in the development of that retail product.
