This further refines Microsoft account support, along with small fixes related to modpack platforms and Java runtime detection. It’s also been 10 years since the first release of MultiMC. All background cats are now ready to party! What comes next ... [More] , in no particular order: Complete rework of Java runtime management. With the release of 1.18, the game now requires even more different versions of the JRE, and a solution is required. [Less]

This release brings initial support for Microsoft accounts, along with a nice pile of modpack platform changes and improved Java runtime detection. What comes next: Bug fixes for Microsoft authentication (broken offline play, overzealous token ... [More] refreshing, etc.). Fixes for the current issues with Forge 1.17.x and newer. Complete rework of Java runtime management. The game now requires different versions of the JRE and our current approach no longer works. [Less]

You may have noticed MultiMC currently doesn’t allow you to install Forge on Minecraft versions newer than 1.13. Unfortunately, Forge has added significant complications to their install process in their update to 1.13, which MultiMC can’t currently ... [More] handle. In order to install Forge now, we have to replicate this complicated process in MultiMC, and maintain it so that it stays up to date with whatever changes Forge makes. Some people have suggested that we simply have MultiMC run the Forge installer in the background whenever you click “Install Forge”. [Less]

Finalizing the translation workflow improvements and adding fixes for sounds missing in old game versions.
