We are proud to present the releases of Gitea versions 1.11.3 and 1.10.6. These are maintenance releases, and replace their respective previous patch versions due to a few mishaps that occurred during their release. Our current latest release is now ... [More] Gitea 1.11.3, but if you are running Gitea 1.10 and don’t wish to upgrade to our 1.11 branch yet, please update your system to 1.10.6, the latest of the 1.10 branch. Full disclosure, the following problems affected our recent releases: 1.11.2 (now replaced by 1.11.3) was mistakenly compiled with Go 1.14, which Gitea is not currently fully tested with and it’s known to cause a few issues. 1.10.5 (replaced by 1.10.6 if you need to keep using the 1.10 branch) was incorrectly tagged, and was in fact a snapshot of our development branch (1.12-dev). It was also compiled with Go 1.14. When upgrading, please skip any intermediate patch versions (e.g., don’t go 1.11.0 → 1.11.1 → 1.11.2) but go straight to the latest patch release instead (you can upgrade to 1.11.3 directly from versions as old as 1.6.0). If you need or wish to upgrade through the intermediate major versions, always do it via the latest patch available for each one (1.6.4 → 1.7.6 → 1.8.3 → 1.9.6 → 1.10.6 → 1.11.3). In particular, do not use any of these versions, as a bug in the upgrade process will delete attachments from the releases on your repositories. The affected versions are: v1.10.0, v1.10.1, v1.10.2, v1.10.3, v1.10.4, v1.11.0, and v1.11.1. See #10526 for more information.
