Project Summary

bakonf is a tool designed to make backups of the configuration files of a GNU/Linux or Unix-like system. Its aim is to use various methods in order to reduce the size of the backup to a reasonable minimum, in order to be useful for remote/unattended servers.
It is usable on any Unix-like system which has python 2.4 or newer. See the user manual for more information.
Note that is tool is very simple and can be replaced by tar, cpio or any other archive utility.
