written almost 16 years ago
Switching from wmii, I found plenty of speed, configurability, and plain awesomeness. It took a transition from bash to lua, but it was worth it.

for one thing, everytime the awesome wm gets upgraded, there must be something went wrong; either the configuration should be updated or some widgets didn;t work,

Simple, Clean, Fast, Effective

The title pretty much sums it up. I have used most every *nix desktop from Gnome, KDE, Fluxbox, XFCE, etc. and for lightweight awesome is awesome.
