The project OCS Inventory NG
recently switched from
Bazaar to Git, so I wanted to update the code locations.
It is not possible to add a new code location here:
https://www.openhub.net/p/ocsinventory/enlistments
I tried adding this URL (master branch):
git://github.com/OCSInventory-NG/OCSInventory-ocsreports.git
Clicking Save Code Location
shows Checking server connection
,
but then nothing happens (same web page, no new enlistment).
I also tried adding a new code location to other projects.
That fails, too (it worked some months ago).
Same issue at https://www.openhub.net/p/nuxeo/enlistments
@The Open Hub Team, do you have some news?
The issue occurs with any project, but I have the problem only with Firefox / Icedove browsers (which claim that there is a JavaScript error when I look into the web developer console). At least Chrome / Chromium seem to work.
I'm afraid that the Open Hub team has not enough resources, because I observe lots of problems (some of them severe like the downtime of the forum) which are not fixed in time.
Thank you for the suggestion Stefan (I was indeed using Firefox) but it does not work with Chromium (Version 45.0.2454.101) for me.
Hi Gents;
We have a high priority defect at the top of the stack to look into this issue. We've been able to characterize it as occurring on our production web servers for git repositories when the git
protocol is used.
Until the issue is resolved, please use the https
protocol for adding git repositories.
I've updated the enlistments for the Tesseract OCR project and run an updated analysis so you have up-to-date data.
Hi Peter,
https://www.openhub.net/p/tesseract-ocr/enlistments is still wrong, and I cannot add https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract.git.
Stefan
Hi Stefan;
OK, that's more helpful information. I was able to add the https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tesseract.git enlistment and remove the Google Code. With this information, I'm starting to think we may have some permission related issue as well.
I have a similar problem when trying to update the Code Location for GrandPerspective at https://www.openhub.net/p/grandperspectiv/enlistments to reflect the move from svn to git
When I try to add git://git.code.sf.net/p/grandperspectiv/source it hangs while showing Checking server connection...
. Using https:// instead of git:// did not help. Are there still problems in this area, or am I simply doing something wrong?
It looks like the problem could be caused by some browser history (e. g. cookies). Open a private window in your browser and try adding the code location there.
Hi Stephan,
Thanks for your response. I followed your suggestion and added the new git repository in an In Cognito Chrome window and that worked. The analysis of the sources from the new location are ongoing while am I writing this.
Cheers, Erwin
