Dear Open Hub Users,
We’re excited to announce that we will be moving the Open Hub Forum to
https://community.blackduck.com/s/black-duck-open-hub.
Beginning immediately, users can head over,
register,
get technical help and discuss issue pertinent to the Open Hub. Registered users can also subscribe to Open Hub announcements here.
On May 1, 2020, we will be freezing https://www.openhub.net/forums and users will not be able to create new discussions. If you have any questions and concerns, please email us at
info@openhub.net
Some of the projects I'm looking after have not been updated for quite a while:
1) https://www.openhub.net/p/webanno - Last update: 2014-10-11
2) https://www.openhub.net/p/dkpro-core - Last update: 2014-10-13
They even show as Activity Not Available
despite already having had activity in the past and despite at least 2 getting very regular commits.
I think OpenHUB currently experience major problems in their crawlers/analyzers. Even the most popular projects on OpenHUB (as presented on the front page) are at least 8 days behind (most of them 22 days).
If you read the blog about the Ruby 1.9 upgrade with their unicode problems and some forum posts about bad committer names it seems as they can analyze only very few projects currently. It seems ssnowblackduck can push projects on the top of the queue so these will be processed but other than that I think w'll have to wait until development sorts out their code problems.
Thank you very much for confirming my theory. As a kind of compensation - would you consider a blog post about your problems when moving to the new unicode system? With some specific technical problems? (I mean you don't have to disclose the most embarassing errors, just bit more than the common marketing department would be allow so interested developers can learn a bit.)
As you can see on my profile I'm a Python developer at heart and we're dealing with the whole Python 2 -> 3 transition now for quite a while. When I looked into Ruby 1.9 (after the OpenHub blog post) I was not really convinced about how Ruby handled the transition but of course some post-mortem
in-depth post would be very appreciated.
Felix,
I will ask management to do so if they can get out from under the firefighting long enough to do a think piece on the Unicode/Ruby issue. (I understand there's another iteration in the saga coming...)
Thanks!
Richard,

DKPro Core analysis is now at December 07, 2014 on code collected on December 06, 2014 and last commit is at December 07, 2014.
Please be sure you remind me here if the projects stall again.
Thanks!
Thanks!
