Several projects not updated for >7 days

Closed

Hi ssnow

Oh... That error is due to this bug I reported a while ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mercurial/+bug/1312108

Software on our server is getting (too) outdated, so it do not support TLS yet, whereas mercurial forces a TLS connection by default. We're in the (painstakingly slow) process of updating them.

Thanks for reporting back.

Hi,

I added two projects last week and they got stuck in the GIT checkout - one is hosted on GitHub and one on Bitbucket. Since then, retrieval has not been rescheduled. Projects:

https://www.openhub.net/p/mico-disambiguation
https://www.openhub.net/p/mico-platform

The error message is:

Step 1 of 3: Downloading source code history (Failed 3 days ago.)

Can you check?

Thanks, Sebastian

Sebastian,

On the job... Will check both and report back soonest.

Thanks!

Sebastian,

The two fetches failed due to the same cause: both stopped due to failure of our initial fetch of only the structure of the repository and no actual files (clone -q -n). This, I suppose, is so we can analyze the repository before actually fetching it fully. It was never git's favorite command judging by how often it has failed over the years. A simple re-fetch in both cases seemed to do the trick.

Disambiguation finished OK (67 total commits). Analysis is now at October 20, 2014 on code collected on October 20, 2014 and last commit is at June 30, 2014.

Platform finished OK (121 total commits). Analysis is now at October 20, 2014 on code collected on October 20, 2014 and last commit is at October 14, 2014.

Please remind me here if the project goes astray again.

Thanks!

Anton,

The fix has been rolled out to our production servers and I have a re-fetch running for Embox. Will report back once the fetch finished. It's somewhat large (10,384 commits) and it's taking time. Standby.

Thanks!

Anton,

Re-fetch of the main repository finished OK (10,384 total commits) and was followed by a full update. Analysis is now at October 23, 2014 on code collected on October 23, 2014 and last commit is at October 23, 2014 - about 6 hours ago.

Please tell me here if the project stumbles again.

Thanks!

Our servers now should support TLS and fetching from them should be working again.
Could you please try again to fetch

Thanks a lot!
Maarten
