I can only claim one login per repository. A repository was moved and my account change, so there are commits under two different logins, if I claim the first, it appears my activity stopped long time ago, if I chose the later, it seems like I am new in the project.
I believe you should be able to claim your preferred name and then use the alias
feature to combine the contribs of the two logins (under Edit
-> Aliases
).
I use to have a login while I was assistant scholar
. When I became part of the staff i got a new username. Then, somebody inherit my old login.
I can't claim only the commits in that period of time.... :(
Yes, sorry, you can't claim commits over a time range. It's all or nothing.
There have been requests in the past to allow people to claim individual commits. This is something we might look at supporting in the future.
Claiming individual commits would be particularly useful for Django developers (and I expect others), as there are very few committers and a large community of contributors. It'd be nice to be able to claim which patches of mine have gone in, without having to describe it textually.
