I've changed lastname. When I try to claim my new name I get this error:
You can't claim two committer aliases in a project (you also claimed 'Anders Gustafsson').
Yes, you can only claim to be one person per project.
However, we have a feature called aliases
which allows you to combine two or more names into a single person.
It's a bit hard to find. From the project page, click the Edit
tab, then the Aliases
tab. Click Add a New Alias
.
On this page, choose your old name from the left column, and your new name from the right column. After the next update, the statistics for both names will be combined, and you can claim that name for your account.
Thanks, but I've already aliased my old name to my new name. But before I changed lastname I claimed my old name. Can I unclaim that somehow?
Hi Anders,
I went ahead and made a manual change in the database. Your claim should now be pointing at Anders Waldenborg
, and this should include all the activity made under the name Anders Gustafsson
.
I believe everything is now set up correctly. Let me know if there is a still a problem.
Sorry for all the confusion!
Seems to work. Thanks a lot!
