Sometimes a contributor is not interested in joining ohloh and maintaining his contributions, but it would still be useful for others to consolidate that it is the same person doing commits in several repositories. To be wiki-like it would be nice if one could assign unclaimed contributions to a same unclaimed virtual persona, until that person comes along.
This is already possible on a given project. See Aliases

Thanks, true, and by now I had found out as well. But the same would be interesting across projects.
