In project openSUSE BuildService (obs), we changed enlistments from SVN to GIT repository. Now we have both new contributors (from GIT) and the old ones from SVN (with 0 commits). One cannot click [I am this person] on new commiters, because one is already assigned as commiter with 0 commits :-/ How to solve this?
Hi Pavol,
I've fixed the problem for your account, but it looks like a lot of other project contributors have the same problem, so here's some instructions on how to fix it.
The problem of course is that the Ohloh accounts are still tied to old Subversion names instead of the new Git names.
This is can be fixed from your Ohloh account profile page. In the list of projects, click the tiny EDIT link next to this project. This will take you to a form where you can change the Committer Name you used. There is an auto-completer here to help you pick the correct name.
Sorry for the troubles; this is a part of the Ohloh UI that really needs to be fixed. :-(
Maybe you could remove contributors with 0 commits from this particular projects. Or allow the project administrator to do it.
