Hi Robin,
I posted on these forums a while ago about the Apache Tuscany project and SVN moves not being followed by Ohloh. At the time, it was mentioned that this was a limitation of the Ohloh SVN importer. Fair enough.
I was reading on the forms today and noticed the following post by yourself
http://www.ohloh.net/forums/10/topics/2007#post_9874 that mentions that some types of SVN moves are now handled by the Ohloh importer. This is great news!
I was wondering if the new Subversion adapter would allow us to see the SVN moves for the Tuscany project?
Thanks,
Mark
Hi Mark,
Yes, it looks like these SVN moves can be followed by our new importer. In fact, Apache promotion from incubator status was one the big motivations for us to finally get this fix made.
I've started clean reimports of the Tuscany SVN URLs, and hopefully we'll get full histories this time.
Thanks,
Robin
Hi Robin,
Just to update you that the re-import of Apache Tuscany took a few weeks but it has completed successfully :-)
I can confirm that it appears to have followed the SVN move from Apache incubation since our code history now goes back to 2005 rather than being just the last 12 months.
Thanks for your help,
Mark
Great!
