The two contributors here are the same person:

I click I'm a contributor, in order to add a New Contributor Alias. Then I get an option select with one correct name in it, follwed by will be renamed to and an empty select.

Clicking Submit leads me to Sorry, we can't show this page because of an application error

Any idea?

Just in order to try something, I made myself the manager of that project. Now, I cannot even try to add an alias, anymore.

When choosing I am this (other) person, I get a page with You already have a position on this project. Ohloh supports only one position per project. Edit the aliases table instead.
. And on the Alias page I get a No contributor aliases have been defined for this project. , but no Add link or button.

Hi Alessandro,

Sorry for the lack of response -- I missed your original post.

It looks like things have gotten pretty screwy on this project.

Your Ohloh account is linked to a Subversion repository. That's why you are seeing the You already have a position on this project warning.

You are unable to create any aliases for this project because all of the source code enlistments have been deleted from Ohloh. Because all of the enlistments have been deleted, we have no idea what the committer names are, so we can't let you assign mappings for them.

I will re-add the most recent Git enlistment for this project and reset your account so that it is no longer linked to the old Subversion repository. This should enable you to successfully click the I am this person button.

If you have any more trouble, let me know. Resist the urge to delete and add code to Ohloh, it makes things messier. :-)

And I will stay away from the remove enlistment link in the future.

Hi Robin,

I'm having the same problem with https://www.ohloh.net/p/quantpro/contributors/. I removed a subversion enlistment and added a git enlistment, now I cannot create an alias for the git repo.

Could please reset this project?

Hi Marcus,

Here is how you can fix this. You do not need to create or edit any aliases:

• Go to your Ohloh account home page
• In the Experience section, click the EDIT link next to QuantPro. This will take you to a form where you can edit details about your contribution to this project.
• Change the Committer Name field from the old Subversion name to the new Git name. There should be an auto-completer to help you pick a valid name.

It might take a few minutes for the changes to propagate throughout Ohloh. Let me know if you have any troubles.
