Statistical number of commits is not consistent over pages

Hi,

I just found that the statistical number of commits is different at different places.

At this page http://www.ohloh.net/accounts/pcdinh you can see that I was told to make 799 commits which is consistent with the number stated on the following page
https://www.ohloh.net/p/spica/commits

But in the same page (http://www.ohloh.net/accounts/pcdinh), at the bottom, on the Widgets box, you will that number is different, a bit higher (804 commits).

The inconsistency can be seen at https://www.ohloh.net/languages/2

where you can see in the column (Recently Active Contributors) that I was told to make 736 commits, a much smaller number.

Do you think that there is a delay in cache update somewhere in Ohloh system?

Thanks,

Dinh

Hi pcdinh,

You have made 799 commits in the spice project, and 5 commits in the pone project. So your total commit counts is 799 + 5 = 804 commits.

Therefore, the 804 commits shown in your account widget is the correct total.

On the Recently Active Contributors table for PHP, we count only commits which (a) contain some PHP, and (b) were made during the last 3 months. Consequently, this number is going to be smaller than your overall total commits.

While there are some delays in the Ohloh system, and not all reports are updated at the same time, in this case I think all of the data is correct and consistent.

Let me know if you have more questions,

Robin
