I assume you are asking about the COCOMO project cost calculator.
I've just realized that the labels we chose are very confusing, and we should probably change them.
Everything in an XML file or HTML file is considered markup
. This includes all of the markup code, markup comments, and blank lines in those files.
All other file types are considered program logic
. This includes all of the program logic code, program logic comments, and blank lines in those files.
The COCOMO calculator ignores all comments and all blank lines. The calculator considers only markup code, program logic code, or both.
It's confusing becase the calculator dropdown lets you choose between Markup
, Code
, or Markup And Code
. This is misleading. The dropdown should be labeled Markup Code
, Program Logic Code
, or All Code
.
I hope this explanation has been helpful -- I have a hunch it might be completely confusing.
