Hello,
when defining a position, the list of programming languages we can choose from seemingly lacks some high-level scripting languages used in mathematics/statistics packages like R/S-Plus, or Matlab/Sclilab.
Would it be difficult to include those languages ?
Cheers,
Mark
Reading the response to the request for FORTH, I guess I'll have to contribute to ohcount.
As I'm new to ruby, I guess it'll take a little time...
Well we've got Matlab, so take a look at its parser and tweak it for your other languages :)
I think mitchell's suggestion is good. I'm not sure how difficult it would be, we would have to wait for a ohloh staff member to answer that, but you should just try to tweak Matlab :]
Actually, it looked quite easy for R: as suggested I copied over the matlab parser and did some editing to adapt it to R. Of course, I added R to the list of supported languages and declared it's file extension in the main code of ohcount.
I submitted the resulting patches at the end of last week, but had no feedback about them yet.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for submitting a patch -- I've left some notes over on the ticket.
