Committer name not found

Hi all,

I'm a GRASS GIS contributor. I tried to add my account to that project, but ohloh cannot recognize my committer name (marcopx).

Do you know why? did I fail or miss something?

Many thanks,

Marco

Hi marco,

The Ohloh project report is based around the repository at http://svn.osgeo.org/grass/grass/trunk. I reviewed the Subversion log for this repository, but I couldn't find any commits under the name 'marcopx'.

What is the name you used when making commits to the repository? Is this the correct repository?

Hi Robin,

thanks for your reply. Actually, since now, I committed only in /grass/branches/develbranch_6, that is the current development version of GRASS 6, while /grass/trunk is the new development branch of the future GRASS 7; see: http://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/DownloadSource#SubversionGRASSmainsourcecoderepository

then I also commit on /grass-web

Regards,

Marco

Since this is the same topic but a different repo, I thought ok to post here. I have recently signed up and have committed code to some projects, but I cannot find my username in the commits. The name I commit with is my email address so reluctant to post here, but if someone could contact me I could tell you the project and my username.

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

When the committer name is an email address, we do some pretty aggressive obfuscation that might make it hard to find your name in the list.

You can email me directly at [email protected] -- let me know your committer email address and which repositories you're referring to, and I'll investigate.

Thanks,
Robin

Thanks Robin I sent you an email about it. Cheers.

Hi Robin,

do you think that you could put both /grass/branches/develbranch_6 and /grass/trunk as official project repositories in the ohloh properties for the GRASS project?

Marco

Hi Marco,

This is possible, but be warned that it will probably inflate your code size numbers by a factor of two.

Ohloh doesn't have any special smarts around branches -- to our analysis engine it will simply look like to unrelated source control repositories, and so you'll see twice as much code.

However, this will have the benefit of showing all of the commits that take place only on develbranch_6.

If you can live with inflated code size counts and would prefer to see all of the commits, go ahead and add the branch.

Hi Robin,

thanks for your reply.
I suppose that adding also develbranch_6 will take effects also to the other committers in the ohloh community, so I think that I should first ask them if they agree with the inflating issue...
Best Regards,

Marco
