Hi,
This one seems to be stuck:
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/spiff/enlistments
-Samuel
Heya!
Here is another one: http://www.ohloh.net/projects/rubyspec/enlistments
Thanks in advance,
Arthur
@arthur - I rescheduled the rubyspec enlistment and will watch it today.
@knipknap - I rescheduled the download of spiff. I will watch its progress today.
It seems that didn't go very well...
I have also been wondering about these two projects:
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/cantus/enlistments
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/tefinch/enlistments
Both have been cycling between failed
and waiting
since 24 hours. I once saw the download in a state were 2 revisions were already downloaded, shortly after which is was back to failed
.
I tested the manual checkout and it works fine.
spiff: You're right; there's a problem that's not fixable by a simple reschedule. We'll investigate this.
The cycling you see is our system automatically retrying the enlistments. Sounds like there's a persistent problem with them. When we've exhausted the retries here (3 times I think), this will fail and we'll take a look to see what the problem is.
spiff: The download was now apparently completed, but the statistics were not updated.
(tefinch and cantus are still waiting)
Hi knipknap,
The downloads are still incomplete because of repeated server failures. After continued failures, our system waits longer and longer between retries.
Historically, gna.org has been a somewhat unreliable server from our end.
I've rescheduled these downloads, and removed the delays from the retries. Hopefully we will see updates soon.
Thanks,
Robin
Cool, one of these projects (tefinch) was now completed.
Also, I know I'm probably too impatient, but any news on the spiff
project? The statistics still do not show any code, though the update was completed 7 days ago.
Our system thought it already had the history from googlecode for spiff. This could have been caused by a server error on our or google's end. I started a clean download and it's progressing now.
Hi,
I have removed some unexpected files from my repository and eagerly waiting it to be updated :)
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/miniim
It is only 4 days now .. But I am little impatient and checking it in each hour to see the change in statistics :) ..
-- Thanks for this nice service :)
andy: thanks, but it seems that didn't work. from downloading
it went straight back do updated 7 hours ago
, with the statistics not being updated.
I know I am a pain, but any news on the Spiff project? It has now 7 repositories registered, with only 2 commits showing up (there should be approx. 400). Also, the main repository is now failed
again.
Hi knipknap,
Sorry for the troubles -- it looks like there is something mysterious going on in one of the repositories.
In http://spiff.googlecode.com/svn/trunk, we are receiving and error in revision 252:
svnsync: REPORT request failed on 'http://spiff.googlecode.com/svn'
svnsync: Filesystem path 'trunk/plugins/ContentEditor/Extension.py' is neither a file nor a directory
This is making it tough to use svnsync to clone the directory.
I'm currently trying another download using an alternative, brute-force history downloader that doesn't use svnsync. If that doesn't do the trick, we'll have to dig in and see what is causing the error.
I'll keep an eye on it today.
Thanks,
Robin
Hi Robin,
Thanks for looking into this. I have also posted a request at this place:
http://groups.google.com/group/google-code-hosting/browse_thread/thread/3dd1d1192aa5b00f
(IIRC the code.google.com maintainers are also the SVN developers, so they might be able to help.)

Hi Robin, I added a new project called fincafe
. And the enlistment is in step3:
https://fincafe.googlecode.com/svn/trunk
/trunk
Subversion (Sync Beta)
Step 1 of 3: Downloading source code history (Failed)
Delete
I've wait the 24 h, and now I ask you to solve the inconvenience hehe.
Thanks man.
Hi Rodrigo,
The problem was in our code. Believe it or not, you are the first person ever to submit a Subversion link from Google Code that requires a password.
I've updated our code so that it will properly submit a password to the Subversion server in this case.
However, more importantly, I simply switched us over to the public, anonymous repository link. That way, we won't have to use your username and password to access the code. Note that when you give your username and password to Ohloh, that data becomes public! That's probably a bad idea, and if you are worried about it you might want to change your password now.
Using the public repository, the download is complete, and we should see a report soon.
Thanks,
Robin
italic Fantastic, thank you.
So, another question: instead of using the Subversion link I used before, what url should I use? italic
Nevermind, I figure it out... the should be some example in that particular area, because I thought it HAD to use a password, even if it was for the read only access.
Thanks man! And I'm glad my confusion helped hehe. Oh, and another little suggestion: maybe in the Markdown Syntax
you should allow people to strike
text.
Well, it seems my request at the google-code-hosting list did not spark much interest over at Google.
However, I noticed that the Spiff repositories are now successfully downloaded frequently, so your force-download method probably worked. Thanks a lot for the effort!
-Samuel
Hi again,
Thankfully the guys at Google fixed the Spiff repository. I just synsynced it locally, and it works flawlessly. So if it helps, feel free to switch the enlistment to the normal download mode
.
Thanks again,
-Samuel
hello,
the pycuda project also keeps reporting the status failed for one of the three git repostories. (Each are maintained be a different developer and are merged from time to time)
Can you please have a look at this?
thanks a lot.
Hi Gert,
I scheduled a clean import of the failed pycuda repository, which should allow it to update.
I'll watch it today.
Hi.
Could you look at maemo-wordpy project: http://www.ohloh.net/projects/7509
It seems stuck about two months.
Thanks in advance.
Hi yerga,
I've rescheduled the download. I'll keep an eye on it today to make sure it goes through.
Thanks,
Robin
