In the project qooxdoo
, which is a JavaScript AJAX framework, the detected main language is wrongly detected as XML. I am a lead developer of this project. It would be great if we could ignore such data files in some way. Is XML at all really a programming language. If so, please let us define exclude filters.
I'm not really sure what you mean here with detected main language
. In the analysis report we say that the project is mostly written in JavaScript
. For purposes of comment ratios and other metrics qooxdoo is compared with other JavaScript projects.
We consider XML and HTML as markup languages
and we only choose them as the main language for a project as a last resort. Even though 68% of the source lines in this project are XML, we still consider JavaScript to be the main language. We would only call this an XML project if there were no other option.
