Notes:
A good vector graphics program. I find the SVGs it creates are sometimes a little on the fat side, so I usually end up manually editing them, but it's good for getting the basic shape and idea, or if you don't plan to put the images online immediately.

A nice stable browser, and very extensible. Only problems I have are memory usage and slight sluggishness, but it holds together fairly well. These problems will hopefully fade with version 3.1.

Notes:
The most intuitive command line editor I've used. Sometimes greatness lies in simplicity, and that's where nano shines. It may not have some of fancier features of some other editor, but it gets the job done.
