Date: 14/02/2013 Speaker: Antonella De Angeli Abstract: In this talk, we will present the user research which has informed the design of the first set of Smart Campus Apps. This process started at the beginning of 2012 involving a large number of ... [More] students in the generation of ideas for services they would like and need. Some of these ideas were transformed into prototypes using iterative design and were evaluated in the lab and with a large scale field study. We followed a class of 90 students as they used the Smart Campus apps, collecting both qualitative and quantitative data over a 4-month period. Results were used to improve the apps and to set the definition of a new adoption model for mobile technology. [Less]
