This mailinglist includes the people involved in translating simpleSAMLphp into other languages. I will send notifications to this list, when new terms are added (together with new functionality in simplesamlphp) and ready to be translated.

Now I have turned on require consent on Feide RnD OpenIdP. That means everytime you log in to a new service you are asked whether it is OK that a list of attributes are sent. This is really great news! This have been a dream for a long time. Now we have an OpenIdP that you can connect to without any metadata exchange! The latest version of simpleSAMLphp (from trunk) is also preconfigured to trust the OpenIdP. You can now ... [More] download simpleSAMLphp and then without modifying a single line of configuration, or exchanging metadata with anyone, you can perform a login through the Feide RnD OpenIdP. The default behaviour of simpleSAMLphp as an SP would be to set the entityId equal to a endpoint at your server that automatically generate hosted metadata for your service. Then OpenIdP supports looking up metadata on that URL and uses it. Next step with OpenIdP would be to enable user consent, which means users will have more control of which services that retrieves information about your Feide RnD OpenIdP identity. [Less]

As you may have noticed, last week we added support for simpleSAMLphp to set it's own entityID dynamically to an URL where simpleSAMLphp generates correct SAML 2.0 metadata for the service. Now we have taken the next step. When simpleSAMLphp get an ... [More] incomming SAML Request or Response, it will look in the stored metadata, if it does not find any entry, it will look at the entityID if it looks like an URL. If so, it will try to get the data available on that URL, and if it is SAML 2.0 metadata it will download it and look for an entity in there matching the entityId of the SAML request. This allows SPs and IdPs to interoperate without beeing preconfigured. I will install this support in Feide RnD OpenIdP very soon, as well as include the OpenIdP metadata in a default installation of simpleSAMLphp. During the last weeks, I have been working in trying to bring some of the Inforcard capabilities into the simpleSAMLphp. At the moment, I have been able to adapt some code to write a Infocard login module that I have been able to test again Firefox's ... [More] Digital Me Identity Selector. The simple module just allow to authenticate users with both managed and not managed cards and extracts some of the claims and export them as attributes. Currently, I am studying the existing bridges that has been built among OpenID and Infocard. I have been studying the OpenID Information Cards Draft(https://openidcards.sxip.com/spec/openid-infocards.html) and I plan to implement support for it in simpleSAMLphp. As future work, I am also considering the possibility of adding STS capabilities to simpleSAMLphp. I encourage everybody to add any idea or suggestion in these subjects. You can now login to rnd.feide.no (through Feide or OpenIdP) and access the new menu item OpenIdP. Feide RnD OpenIdP is an IdP that everyone can connect to as service providers. No contract, no whatsoever. I provide the service as best I can, no guaranteed SLA. Feide RnD OpenIdP allows users to register new accounts, hence the service is super for ... [More] providing guest accounts to SAML 2.0 Service Providers. I am also working on supporting the dynamic SAML profile (automatically exchanging metadata by setting the entityID to be the URL of the metadata). [Less]

I've just upgraded the drupal installation running rnd.feide.no to version 5.7 (from 5.2). I had to perform a few fixes, and also did some updates to the theme. If some links break, or the site is misbehaving by some other means, let me know. Update: ... [More] The theme update is tested in Safari and Firefox. Seems to be some minor issues with Opera. Swedish localization of simpleSAMLphp was contributed by Pål Axelsson (Thanks), and is now checked into simpleSAMLphp repository. This was the 11th language added to simpleSAMLphp. We will soon launch a translation portal, where you can login and update the localization of simpleSAMLphp in your language.
