For many years, I've used Jetbrain's Omea Pro personally to manage all my information such as notes, rss feeds, newsgroups, bookmarks...etc.. Layout fits nicely and is easy to navigate across tabbed workspaces.
Recommended as a comprehensive and customizable PIM desktop tool.
