The final releases of GeoNetwork & InterMap opensource version 2.0.0 for Desktop and Server installations are available! The Desktop version should make it really easy for people to set up the software on Windows based computers, while the Server ... [More] version allows full configuration for operational systems. The functionality of both versions is the same however. (0 comments) [Less]

Hi all, the last geonetwork release candidate is out. We decided to release another RC for several reasons: - RC1 had a configuration bug that prevented it from starting up correctly. This was very annoying for users not deeply involved into the ... [More] project and this had to be fixed quickly. - We need some more time to test the intermap integration. Anyway, the final release is scheduled for the next week and this RC2 will be very little different from that. For the list of changes see the changes.txt file into the docs dir or click the change log when you download from sourceforge. A few notes: - There are the usual known problems with the DC schema. We will fix this in the 2.1 release because we need to heavily change the code to support namespaces. - Some users have reported errors and patches regarding some transformation exceptions. Thanks to everybody but we could not manage to add them. Anyway they would have been useless because we changed some java code in jeeves. The problem rises when the jvm used is the 1.5 instead of the 1.4. The fix to jeeves is incompatible with 1.5 so these patches would not solve the problem. Morale: use java 1.4. - There is an alpha version of the CSW specification implementation. IT IS NOT intended to be used or tested, it is still under development. I decided to add it just in case someone wants to play with it. The server part responses only to the 'getCapabilities' operation and partialy to 'describeRecord' and 'getRecordById'. Anyway, the client part located into the 'csw' dir can be used to request the 'getCapabilities', 'describeRecord' and 'getRecordById' to a compliant server (maybe the authentication part should be removed). That's all for now. Cheers, Andrea [Less]

Hi everybody, here it is. This release is the first (and hopefully the last) release candidate. Almost all bugs have been fixed. From now, new bugs should be reported by the bug-tracking system. Beside the bugs fixed, this release has the following main adds: (0 comments)

Hi all, this new beta fixes only a bug with groups that prevented new metadata from being shown making the beta unusable. There are a few other fixes (see docs/changes.txt for more info). (0 comments)
